I found a source for Blockleys in California and bought a pair http://www.lucasclassictires.com/19-400x19-Blockley-Racing-3-block-tread-BW-283p.htm

Then yesterday I was reading a magazine and saw a familiar tire. It is sold by Coker tires. A bit cheaper than the Blockley.

Interesting. Do report back if you try them. By the looks of it, you'll have to stick with the Blockley inner tubes.

Indeed, keep us posted. Glad to hear there's a source for them not only in the us but in Cali.

Was tempted to replace my worn avons on my 2013 before I sold it with blockleys but decided for simplicity's sake to just put new avons in them

They shipped from CA to MI by FedEx for 36 bucks and change. Had a local tire store mount and balance them yesterday for $29.

They look very 'period' thumbs

Looking forward to some feedback on how they feel, as if that's going to be clear cut!!

The three block design was pretty common before WW2. It can be judged as too old by some, but it works, why not?

The casing ought to be stronger than the Avons, so may work better on tight corners. VSCC types do use them for racing as well.

I am relaxing after having installed my set of Blockleys. It is good to know that they can be sourced here in the US. The Avons had worn to the point where I could remove the wheel without removing the fender.

I used my motorcycle wheel changer and tire balancer and had no issues other then having to pull the fenders to put the wheels back on. One wheel needed about a half ounce of weight and the other was dead on with no weight needed.

I drove from Phoenix to Los Angeles on Thursday and that pretty much finished them. Ran a steady state 80 mph and got close to 34 mpg. It was very hot!

I acquired the Blockleys through my dealer. It's a good looking tire and I am very happy with them. The car handles much better with them! The Avons flexed so much but these tires don't appear to. A far more positive feel.

What do you find is the best pressure for these?

I've been running 25psi with no problems. Haven't done any real experimentation though did have them at 27 at one point but preferred 25.
