I called in at Williams on Monday on the way "up north". There I had a good look at the "MulFab Roadster. This link will tell all: Fab Roadster It has EVERYTHING and is priced to sell...If I was looking for a Roadster I'd want to try it. Just bouncing the car it has suspension travel that I've never seen on a Morgan, the steering wheel turns the wheels when the car is not moving like a car with power steering. Not clear from the photos are the runningboards, these have been narrowed so they are abut 30mm narrower than the rear wheel mudguards. It looks very cool! I was much taken with it, but is it a real Morgan, or has it gone too far? Opinions, please!

It's an attractive car with narrow wings, and a great spec. Had it been based on an undamaged donor I suspect it would have sold a long time ago, but there's a 'thing' about buying a damaged repaired car, and most buyers won't be interested.

I am sure Williams will sell it quickly, looks a good car and Peter only does top quality work.

I saw that car many times whilst it was being built, it's a work of art and if I had not just bought my +4 I would have bitten Peter Mulberry's arm off to get it. You would not believe how well that car corners and stops. So many complain that the factory did not get things quite right, this car has been rebuilt correctly and enhanced to something very, very special.

I've drooled over it, or should that be under it? too. Never got that passenger ride though Colin! Maybe Williams (if they haven't sold it) will bring it to the charity track day at Castle Combe?

I've looked at it as well. Being accident damaged and repaired wouldn't up me off as it's been fully and expertly rebuilt by Mulberry. If I hadn't got Nero I'd be extremely interested in it. A lot of expensive Mulfab bits on it!
It's been on Williams books for a while though so perhaps people are put off by the crash repaired car and non standard suspension?

I was seriously interested in that car. It was the first Roadster I looked at after a test drive in a 3 wheeler and a Brooklands roadster at the factory in March. I can confirm that it drives beautifully, and opened my eyes to what can be done to 'enhance' Morgan suspension. I wasn't particularly concerned about the previous damage as the car has been very expertly repaired, but the other half didn't like the colour or the price given the age. So we spent a lot more on a 1 year old Roadster! I never expected her to open the account to that extent. However, someone is going to get a lovely car.
