Today I was stopped by armed police:
I was taking advantage of the twin benefits of nice weather and being off-work alone. I decided to do another of my jaunts

to the curiosities of Yorkshire. I took in the Humber Bridge; the lighthouse at Paull, a road that didn't exist, the curiously-named Sunk Island and Spurn Point.
I am getting used to smiles, questions and waves. Even thumbs up from parked-up traffic police.
But on the way back from Spurn Point 2x

drew up alongside. The first thing I noticed was their holstered side-arms, which for those of you in the States is unusual in the UK (Edit: it is the side-arms that are unusual not the fact they were holstered! Hate for you to think that UK traffic stops are like the OK Corral

).
The second thing I noticed was the insignia of the MOD Police. Unusual to stop a civilian without a military base in sight.
Then they very politely asked if the car was a Morgan 3 wheeler and could they take some photo's on their phones!
And I thought that driving the 5-speeder couldn't get any weirder!
