Thanks all for the grouphug : TM at its best !

Dave : will check the performance of the Vreid's vs Avons - as it's wet grip I'm really looking for.

I've got my fingers & everything else crossed for tomorrow's verdict from Williams.

And Graham, might just take you up on the Polo !

I'll keep TM informed tomorrow, good or bad.

Only just picked up on this...
Sorry to hear about your accident Jeremy, as the others have said at least you're OK. Hope you get some good news from Williams tomorrow, fingers crossed Henrietta will be back on the road again soon.

Up behind Toulon is a tiny village fort named Evenos. Quiet spot for a good lunch at the family run little restaurant. Now just a few days left in the sun. Due to head home Monday and will be so sad to leave.

Raining in Devon at the moment Moggo, so I would stay in the sun in France if I were you.

Just saw your note Jeremy.
Glad you are OK - that is the most important thing.
Sorry to hear about the car damage, hope it gets fixed soon.

Don't forget that the Avons are described as road legal race tyres, the tread is there to make them road legal not to clear water. Equivalent to intermediates at best.

So sorry to hear Jeremy - but glad to hear you're OK; really that is all that counts.

+1

I have my doubts about the Contis in the wet -I had a sphincter puckering experience about a year ago, spinning 180° on the exit of a roundabout; (some wet leaves and a large manhole cover were also involved....)

Luckily I didn't hit anything, but I've been far more circumspect since. It's not the age of the tyres, the car would have been 2 yrs old at the time. From what I've gleaned on this forum, it seems like Toyo proxes are the way to go.

As to the subject of the thread, yes I DID drive my Mog today (for the first tile in what seems like ages) as it stopped hosing it down with rain for a moment...

It was a joy to be back behind the Moto Lita.

Visited Williams this am and EVERYONE came out to commiserate, which was nice grouphug

So the assessor says "not a write-off" but Mike needs to get into 4 new wheels to allow it to go up on the ramp on Tuesday.

Henrietta will not make Combe but I will be there. Wonder what the lap record is for a VW camper van thinking

Jeremy

PS : Going to try Vreidsteins when she's back otr
