How difficult is it to fit door stays I have a 4/4 new build Nov 2013 so fairly new to maintenance and improvements oh do have the standard and not lowline/ long door car. Also is the Librands kit better quality than factory items? RogT

It's ever so slightly fiddly to fit the stays and you need to protect the front wing when the door is not restrained.
Otherwise it's OK - just be careful with the screws into the door frame, because there's a tiny chance that they could touch and distort the outer door skin. Take your time with it.
The Librands kit is excellent.

Agree 100%.
They work almost as well as the door stays on a modern production car, but look so much better.

Agree also about the screws. I nibbed about a quater of an inch off the long ones and smoothed the end.

Newtown Motors fitted them to my 13reg +4 before I picked it up, they work extremely well and look good.

On my 2010 Plus 4 the steel tube over the dash top and behind the dash had 2 holes each side already drilled for the fixing bolts of Librands door stays.
Feel around the carpet opposite the door check strap and you should feel the holes - then open out a hole in the carpet for the bolts.
This aligned the door stop exactly with the screw holes left by the leather check strap.

And even on a 1990 4/4 it was not that difficult. I think that on the newer Morgans with the scuttle roll bar they are a bit more simple to install. They work perfectly well on my Morgan, now almost for one year and they do look great!

Am I the only one who doesn't like the look of them?

I don't like then either, far to clunky for my taste.
