The Aero 8 is in the same boat as the Aeromax in the US. I ordered an Aero 8 last March. I was told at the time my build date would be Feb 09 with delivery May 09. Because of the US certification problems I am now told the build dates are postponed to August 09 with delivery in November 09 at best for a 2010 model. My dealer paid me back $35k of my $45k down payment keeping $10k to keep my slot open. It seems like a long time to wait for a car but what the hell. At least I'll get the specs and the color I want. I keep my fingers crossed for no more delays...

Michel,Good evening.
You might look at the blue car autoeurope has in detroit area, new Aero America car, blue with chestnut brown interior. You could make a deal drive the aero for the year or so and trade it in to your dealer, probably not lose to many nickles either. The ones out there appear to be the last of the 6 speed cars if that makes a difference to you.The blue car isa good looking car, i preffered the interior of mine, outside color was a toss up...

On another DG, MorganWest have posted that they had 8 Aeromax's on order, but they have had 2 cancellations so far due to the show and display development. I believe that MMC have a waiting list of some 50 people for the Aeromax list and so any cars released will be quickly allocated to someone else in the queue. When I asked Matthew Parkin of MMC if there were any AeroMaxs left unsold his exact response that all the cars were sold. If there were any unwanted US orders, I'm sure they were snapped up with glee but people on the waiting list.

Hi there, I'been thinking about doing that (leasing one for a year or so) since I got the news about the delay but winter in NY is coming and I would prefer a hardtop to drive the car on a daily basis. Doesn't make sense to get a lease with a soft top only now I think. Incidentally I took a look at the car you mentioned on the autoeurope site and I believe it might be the one I test drove last march at the North east dealership. Nice car indeed. Thanks for the sugestion. Michel,Good evening.
