What a shame! But there should be a Morgan dealer between Italy and the U.K.able to fix the problem,or not?

Sorry to hear about the breakdown Donald. FWIW I was rear ended in France in a Golf Mk6 a few years ago, quite a lot of damage (£4.5k). The insurance company offered to recover it but said it could take 2-4 weeks shocked2 I opted to drive it home having done some temporary repairs to lights, etc.

Apparently they send a transporter on a round trip to collect broken down or accident damaged cars when there are enough backed up to fill a transporter! So the time lag depends on where your vehicle is in the cycle.

Just make sure it is kept in a safe location, I had another problem in Paris in the mid 1990s where my vandalised car was stored outside in the rain by the recovery outfit. With broken windows and doors locks this lead to even more damage in storeage!

Good luck smile

Sorry to hear this Donald, luckily you managed most of your trip trouble free, but wouldn't it have been great to have done the whole trip?

As has been mentioned, it sounds as if something has slipped out of alignment, and then gone on to do more damage.

I hope you and Edmund both get home safely?

I'm looking on the bright side as I had over three weeks. Perfect weather too.

We are on train with no car but it should get to my dealer.

At least the worn sidewall did not blow out or BB seize overtaking a truck

Friday 13th certainly did it for me despite touching Ash.

Still fortunate to have driven the roads of Provence.

Now a long wait for car to get to dealer.
