Were you going to the Rex hotel in the days when the two old spinster ladies ran it - one played the piano. Also a rep for an electric organ co. used stay and played good jazz. Think Tuesday night was the "Grab a granny night"

Thanks grab a granny I was 21 . Never heard the music just blinded by the crumpet wall to wall on a Sat night it was eeny meeny miny moe time . As for Jazz I hate it . One lad who put Beamish together in the late 80s and early 90s loved it and thought so should everyone else. I shot outside to bump into a load of lads who thought the same as me . So we had a great sing song outside with some beers each Wor Geordies lost his penker and other Geordie songs the more we drank the better we became at singing . ps. They took the Spanish City down and the show ground have not been up there for years . It was packed with Jocks for 2 weeks every summer . Jack the Lad

Took all your bloody convicts, bred the scruff out of them and then sent them back to teach you how to play cricket and serve drinks in london bars. But as for the cricket you have patently failed. Completely. Lets just leave it that we have the English Cricket team and you have Sir Les Patterson.
