You will need both your driver number and your national insurance number. (Tip for NI number - look at a payslip or a tax return).
Hmmm, or another tip for NI number - it's your NI number! Okay, perhaps I'm a bit of a sad git for knowing my driver number (although actually when you know how it's constructed it's not difficult) ... but am I really unusual in remembering my own National Insurance number? Anyway, thanks for the link. I confirm that I also do not have any class A entitlement. Out of interest, how many people have managed to avoid the photo licence and still have an old red (or even green) paper only one? ~iw Be it ever so tattered and the butt of many jokes at hire cars locations around the world I have the old version

My first telephone number was Bridge of Weir 293. That is whats known as an early adopter. Spending all that money on a telephone, the locals would have your guts for garters. Born of two Aberdonian parents and happily proud of my heritage. I carry all the traits. Tight, really tight, tighter than a witches t*t in a cold wind. Wearing fuury slippers even in summer. Yet still finding the idea of Scottish separation as the daftest thing next to letting Max Clifford manage your PR. (chooses words carefully given his legal balls)

Darn hard finding a paper trail, but it is believed the UK wasn't in favour of the amendment to the proposed directive but got over-ruled. The directive as originally written didn't include the three wheeler nonsense but somebody, can't find out who, has a bee in their bonnet on the issue.
We've done the initial work for it, but will have to make sure the fourth directive - in perhaps 5 years, puts the issue right.
I rather doubt we'll be able to put things as they were, which is what the VCC (Veteran Car Club) want as some early vehicles were really a trike with an engine. We must however be vigilant and protest loudly if the definition of a suitable trike were to hinge on a steering wheel as this would not include vehicles like the replica prototype as it is tiller steering. If the wording, "car bodied" is used, with the explanation that very early vehicles would be considered on their merits then there is a way forward.
I'll now be looking to see if I have the email address of someone in the Ministry of Transport as although I won't send it it quickly, something does need to be said as the correct answer is obtained for some people, and not others.
