As I am far away from my Morgan Dealer, is there a do-it-yourself-way for toe setting without professional eqipment? And what are good default settings for a m3w with Blockleys, toe neutral or toe in 1 degree?

it's a bit late tonight Achim, but if one of our American cousins hasn't come back to us by the morning, I'll have a go. Don't worry though, it's not difficult.

BTW, do you have the 'comfort' kit, or are you still in the stone ages? [I know you don't have the Empire Correction kit].

My dealer set me up with 0 degrees with the Blockleys. I have no complaints. I also have the 'comfort kit' installed.

As for the do-it-yourself way I think there are a few low tech ways to do it involving some boards and a tape measure. Google to your heart's desire...

An easy way to set toe in is as follows:

Buy a length of aluminium angle or box, say 25mm x25mm. Cut 2 pieces twice the precise length of the wheel's diameter. Attach each piece with bungees from the rear edge of the tyre, facing forward, through the centre of the wheel (over the spinner). When both sides are set up, take your measurements....the measurement across the front edge of the wheel, will effectively be the back measurement, and the measurement at the end of the angle/box....a diameter measurement forward of the wheel will be where to take the second measurement, of for example, no toe in, or say 3mm toe in, 1.5mm per side. Keep the aluminium pieces in a safe place enabling measurements as required.

GLLOQ is the poster at 0610 this morning 3 posts before you, can't help with molly though.

GLOQ's post - "I rule the clamp wheel with chalk and a laser level bubble and I trace dens ground two meters in front and rear wheels, I position the laser spirit level on top of the tires."
