There's a few messages talking about removing the dashboard, mine is 4/4. I'd like to do this to a) change the colour of the instrument inserts from the upholstery cream to black (crackle would be ideal, leather probably easier and longer lasting from the DIY point of view.) and to install a push button start button which as other have said is cool as well as old fashioned lukas switches in place of the rockers.
i am OK with most things mechanical and electrical - should be, I am a volunteer on the carriage maintenance team at the Gloustershire and Warwickshire Railway.
(come visit and ride please BTW - Morgans and owners most welcome)
But any pointers would be appreciated - (old phart, needs short cuts AKA, the wisdom of others experience)

Fairly easy to remove, but you will need to remove the steering wheel to make life easier (and it possible?). Two screws, one at each end is all that are needed to be removed. Just lifts out. Dials are held in by brackets/knurled nuts.

Depends on the year Richard!
Bumble has three screws - one also top centre.
Later cars from about 07 also have a fibre underboard which is held by half a dozen small screws into the base of the dash.
When I was chasing Bumble's electrical glitch I could get behind in less than ten minutes, but to remove completely take Richard's advice and take the wheel off, and if you have an adjustable column, drop it down. It's a piece of cake, really.

My dash has been off a number of times now...and got it down to a fine art! As mentioned above, it depends on the year as to the number of screws fitting it to the ash frame. One thing though...I'd advise you disconnect the battery to be on the safe side...there are some live wires behind the dash. If you disconnect the wiring from the switches, instruments etc.....do label them and preferably take some reference photos.
As Dave says...its pretty easy peasy.
