Yes but the only way to get to the terminals was via the plate.

Can you use the cigarette lighter socket with a CTEK? Sometimes - depends whether it is a swiched supply or directly connected. Why put a fues in the line Milligoon? If that line becoes trapped or damaged you could easily end up with a fire...
