Hi,

I was at the local Morgan meeting last night and one owner was telling me about a device to ease fitting the soft top on older (1995) cars. From his description it appeared to be a lever device fitted to the hinge point of the roof support bars. It lowers the bars making the soft top easier to fit then raise them to the correct height for roof tension. Unfortunately he could not remember where he got the device.

Anyone any ideas.

I have an easy up hood so do not need them.

Probably showing my age here but I knew them as the John Taylor swivel pivots. I had them on my 1980 4/4 4 seater and made it possible to fit the hood, I gave up before. He still advertises in Miscellany but not sure whether he still sells them directly.

Many thanks everyone for the advice. This is exactly what I was looking for. Just one of the items I have added to the list of things to do since buying the Morgan two months ago.

This is a great forum and I have found a lot of useful information from it.
