I know someone who was 18 when he got his first Morgan. Insurance was a bit tricky, but it was done in the end by Philip Bell of the General Insurance Agency. But he's now sold the car and must be in his 40s by now.
We still swap Christmas cards!
PS Philip has long since retired and Headleys took over his business.

I had my first plus 8 at 23. At that time young drivers were quite common.

My how its changed so much , on Sunday it was like looking at an old aged peoples home and sadly a good few are not healthy by a long way . But still hanging on in must be the Mog and not the medicine thats keeping them going. I had my first plus 8 at 23. At that time young drivers were quite common.

My younger sister (YoungOne) was probably the youngest member at 17 and had a Morgan +4 as her first car.

I had my first plus 8 at 23. At that time young drivers were quite common. Nice for those that could afford it at 23. Owning a Morgan at 23 would have been as impossible as me being on the lunar mission which happened the same year, 1969. My younger sister (YoungOne) was probably the youngest member at 17 and had a Morgan +4 as her first car. Not hanging about with us however. Last post a few years back.

Can be regularly seen supporting me at the races (though have not been for the last few seasons). Two rebuilds underway and a new son.... Oh the trials o life.
My sis is now a teacher down in the Bath area just out of uni.
I still remember when she was borne being in my teens at the time.

The better-looking half of twotribes (my son, Seb) is fifteen and owns a Sport Teal 4/4 currently out on loan to his Grandfather who is approaching 80 and shows no sign of giving it back...
Much as I want Seb to use his 4/4 I suspect he will keep it for just a few years until he passes his motorcycle test and trades it for the M3W he really wants

I'm 28. I can't comment on when I 'got' the car because it was purchased new by my grandfather 27 years before I was born. It's been in the garage ever since I can remember though.
