My Sport was my commute From Cambridge to London on a daily for some time. Snow on the Conti's great fun. On the Avon's that's a different story in snow! If I had some spare wires I'd go for: http://www.clickontyres.co.uk/wintertyres/product/165_80r15_vredestein_snow___86qI see it used a lot on classic rally cars in the Winter. It's a different type of car you need to fettle with, not the engine but the body soft top (winter), loose screws (summer) Grease front suspension when it rains. But the engine/ Gearbox is Modern and other than oil changes is like owning a Focus! Now as for Indicators and brake lights, number plate lights, they are all retro Lucas and last like a 50's car you soon learn to change bulbs and fix earth wires clean contacts! http://www.mez.co.uk/lucas.htmlSO my conclusion yes it's a daily if you are a fettler. If your a dealer person with not a clue about maintenance or preventive maintenance it will cost you an arm and a leg.

I'm a fettler and consider Aldermog fit for use year round. I have a set of M&S tyres to fit in the autumn, but will also fit remote greasing points so I can keep the grease flowing.

Getting averse to cold garage floors Peter? Large sheet of heavy cardboard works well as an insulator and is a little softer...

Foam bed roll from a Camping shop is better than cardboard! Better still a two post car lift! Oh one thing I forgot to mention change your bushes and kingpins at about 40/45000 miles! Kind regards Cain

I can fit one in my new garage but need to add a 15A plug (shame as I just had the electrician in doing all the work). Cannot make any changes until we move in....

[quote=Andrew255]What's wrong with driving in the snow? You should be on skis flying down a mountain, fine if your driving to a mountain to ski.

My 1992 4/4 was my only car for almost three years, and lived outside, come rain or shine. I was exceeding 12k a year.
It's just passed 88,500, and has just had a much needed rebuild, but why on earth would you keep your Morgan in the garage all the time?
Watching other motorists reactions when you are driving top down in the pooring rain is priceless!

My favourite was a pedestrian out walking in the rain as I pulled up to a set of traffic lights. "You must be mad" he said. "Makes two of us then, mate", was my response
