It's Melbourne not Southend  Clearly. If it were Southend the car would have been resprayed in white and retrimmed with white hide.

As it is it's not a spec that works particularly well and manual in an AeroMax?!

Whilst most of us love the sensation of a perfectly executed manual gearchange, the AeroMax (and its derivatives) were conceived as GT's and consequently, most of them were specified with an auto box. To my mind it suits the cars personality as it is not a hardcore sports car. Whereas our Westie trackday car has a dog box, wonderful on the track, but a real pain in traffic in built up areas. Horses for courses!

The sequential on the Max's Auto Box is brilliant.....get it right and you can drive it like a manual anyways.

It's auto as auto is with torque converter and all so unless it has a proper box like the modern flappy cars then it's got to be manual for me I'm afraid.........no matter how bad.

It's auto as auto is with torque converter and all so unless it has a proper box like the modern flappy cars then it's got to be manual for me I'm afraid.........no matter how bad. Suggest you try an Aero with a 6-speed ZF auto box when you next have the chance. I think that'll put a smile on your face and change your perspective on the ZF. And while you're there, try using the sequential mode too... satisfaction guaranteed! (It's not your ordinary auto box...)
