While I do like the feel and size of the standard steering wheel, it is lacking in appearance especially the center hub and spokes. I know that there are some very nice replacements out there, but most are larger in diameter that would adversely affect leg room.

Does anyone have any suggestions in improving the look of steering wheel without having to get a new one?

Must admit I cant recall what a standard M3W steering wheel looks like, are there any parts of it that could be painted to match or coordinate with your cars body colour? Any parts that can be removed and polished, customised or engraved perhaps?

I think it would look better unpainted. Has anyone tried stripping the black off?

here is the brooch that I adapted for my standard wheel. I will remove my Brooklands before sale. I have a buyer when I can get it posted.
