Hi all,

Thanks for the photos etc, unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me as I wasn't expecting to find anything I was interested it at the show.

With respect to the seats, the car is crying out for some old fashioned bucket seats minus the headrests, would greatly improve the flow of the lines over the back of the car. Outside of that, the car is stunning!

I've emailed Morgan to ask for a test drive, but from reading the posts looks like none are available at present. That's a pity, still I'm not in a rush. What sort of time would you expect to wait for one?

Cheers,
Neil

Neil, where are you based?

If you're not too far from Maidenhead (Berkshire) give Julian at SGT Morgan a call (01628 605 353), I'm sure he'll be able to answer any questions you have (and should be able to arrange a test drive).

What do you think about the lack of a spare wheel? I would find that a real problem - not that I'm looking to buy a Sport as I already have a very nice 2005 4/4 "runabout".

I suspect they have deleted the spare to keep the weight, and therefore the CO2 emission rating, down.

BTW I believe the spinners are not legal as a new car fitment, but can be fitted as an aftermarket "accessory" by the dealer. I would also prefer s/s wheels over painted, for maintenance reasons.

But the 1.6 sigma engine (used in Caterham 7 etc) should be very nice indeed.

Nigel

Spoke to Julian. Apparently the launch of the Sport is on the 23/24/25th of September and until then there aren't any demonstrators available. So have this penned into my diary to attend.

Not sure if the date simply isn't confirmed yet or if it is over three days.
