How hard is it to inflate the rear tyre?
I don't have space to do more than general basic maintenance, can't really undo the belt drive without losing all the bits (!), so will I need to book it in every time it needs a top up of air?

Not quite as easy as the fronts!
Just need to roll the car back or forward till the valve is near the bottom then lie down and reach underneath. Best not done at the side of the road in the rain in your best suit...

Further to air in rear tyres, and I know we have covered this a year or two back, but as there are a lot of new members now, it could stand further discussion.
I believe there is some sort of valve insert or pressure monitoring device that will show an alarm if the pressure drops, this could be very very useful, as would a 'run flat' rear tyre, if such a thing is available.
Is anyone using either yet?

Is anyone using either yet? They exist, they are inexpensive and they sound useful on principle, but I recall reading somewhere, I think on TM, that they have a tendency to leak.

I wouldn't like a RFT on the back. We took them off our Mini as they made the car very skittish.
