After reading others comments on just how good the bonnet stays made by Cain Poulton were, I contacted him to ask if he could supply some for my Aero 8. It turned out Cain lives only about an hour away from me so he suggested he came down with a set of his stays to check out the fit on my car. We spent a pleasant couple of hours measuring up for the Aero and for my R100 roadster too.

Last Friday Cain returned with the prototype stays and a boot full of tools and between us we spent the morning setting the stays to the right angles and marking out fixing points ready for installation. The job proved to be very simple and all the stages were recorded for an instruction sheet to accompany finished sets.

I am more than pleased with the results, the stays and their positive fixing brackets are beautifully made and compliment the engineering on the car rather than looking like add ons. Cain is a very interesting guy to talk to and very good at what he does. He is a member/contributor to Talk Morgan so his contact details are available to anyone interested in purchasing some of these excellent stays.

Here is a link to some pictures posted by Cain of the finished items on my Aero.

I've seen on an brand new Aero Supersports at the dealer (for pre-delivery inspection) that now they are fitting them as standard on newer coupe and SS.

Yes, I'm interested! But I'm in the states...
Could they be installed by a non-professional? Is there welding involved? I cannot tell from the pictures.

Thanks John,
Mateo

Mateo, I am in the states and did the install of Cain's stays. Not a big problem. No welding. i can assist if needed.

Hi Mateo,

Sorry for a slow response, I have been away on holiday, not in my Aero unfortunately!

Have seen the replies from Mark B. so hope you have sorted fitting Cain's stays by now.

John
