You need to get to the inner pannel of the boot.

To do this you need to open the boot then:

1) Remove the plastic cover for the locking mechanism
2) Remove the inner boot liner screws from the back and front of the boot liner (you should be able to find the screw heads in the carpet about 1 inch from the top edge
3) I removed the plastic brackets that hold in the tools, although I'm not 100% if you need to take these out.

Finally once the boot liner is free - should be able to wiggle it about you need to get an able assist to hld the boot lid and remove the 2 screws that hold on the bottom end of one of the gas struts to the inner boot edge. (Get able assistant to hold up with the boot.

Next job is to take out the boot liner. should be able to lift one side out where the strut has been removed - needs some shuffeling and wiggling.

Irony is that from the shot above of the boot liner removed, Morgan bothered to put maintenance holes in the ali to gain service access to the rear lights and the fuel pump.... however never put access hatches in and just carpeted over the holes... duh!!!

Once removed re-attach the gas strut and relieve able assistant.

You should be able to get access to the harness and the back of the bulb holder.

Also you have to go through all this hastle if you don't swap out the rear light bolts which quickly rust off just TO CHANGE THE BULB!! a very very common problem.........

Only one of the two lenses come off from the outside.. the inner ones do not have screw heads and can only be removed from the inside... as for taking them apart... not sure.

Sorted this and in the end it was dead easy. Each rear light is on a small ally panel held in with two screws.

Swap the lights and Morgan bless them use a common rear loom with pairs of connectors for either left or right. So swap connectors and job done.
