Yesterday I went to Revolutions in Perth to have a grease nipple fitted to the compensator under warranty. Its quiet now but for how long?. Went there the quick way via dual carriageway which is not a lot of fun. On way home I stopped in Glamis for food. On getting into the car was buttonholed by someone asking lots of questions. He thought I had built it so put him on track to find MMC & Revolutions who have a nice black 2012 model for sale.
Rather than dual carriage way I went via Edzell, Fettercairn & Cairn o' Mount road to Banchory. The drive was pure dead brilliant. Road & weather just perfect for Mog driving.
I stopped for pictures In Edzell & Fettercairn where someone stopped & asked lots of questions. He is roving contributor to the Dundee Courier. I turned the car round for him to photograph so I might feature in the paper in a week or two. That does not happen if you are driving an S Class or Fiesta, fine cars though they are.

Good stuff Tim,

long may yer compensator be quiet.

I really hope someone will enjoy my old car.

I certainly will not get the same attention with my 4/4 but can happily live with that.

Wish I had a pound for every person who asked me if I had built mine.

I had an excellent track day at Goodwood with my local dealer (Bell & Colvill) yesterday - weather perfect and the car suited the track waaaaay better than it had any right to, or so I thought. These old classic circuits were designed to suit the low grip, drifty chassis' that proper motor cars had back in the day and I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that a fundamentally 50 year old design of tricycle should have performed so well. Drifty, predictable, tolerably fast, period-ly noisy and awesomely good fun. Think I converted at least one non-believer with a passenger ride towards the end of the day and the 3-Wheeler was faster than many of the Lotii present. All in all a fab day on track, sandwiched between lovely 30 miles drives there and back across the Sussex countryside. What's not to like smile

Great picture indeed, but I find it hard to believe it was faster than an Elsie or a Seven? Perhaps it's just that you are a better driver than those pilots? drive

I remember going out for the day in a Caterham convoy and had real trouble keeping up, especially in the corners, and the guys didn't even think they were driving particularly fast.

Been for a run up Deeside for lunch in Aboyne followed by a wander up Glen Muick then back down Lower Deeside and over the Cairn O'Mount to finish off. Yet more wonderful weather.
Should have bought shares in Ambre Solaire back in the winter.
