I changed BB oil last week to Redline gear oil shockproof heavy, and has just come home after 4 days in Norway covering 1600 km in 4 days with a lot of hills to climb.

The BB has been silent all the time, but the belt has been very loud and screamy.

How many miles/km has your car done Stig? Does your rear drive sprocket look like the worn one in the "belt noise" thread? I replaced my drive sprocket and it is nice and quiet now, for the next 4000 miles or so at least.

Was that a warranty sprocket or did you buy it out of your own pocket? Mine, at just over 2000 miles is now beginning to squeak a bit.

Paul
I have done 9000 miles now on my first BB.
Rear sprocket was changed after 1 month, totally worn out (you remember the sound when we met).
The same sound, but much less wear on the sprocket this time.

It was a warranty supplied replacement Paul but I replaced it myself. Easier than returning it to the dealer for me.
