Q8, Mark Evans from the factory posted on the forum some time ago as follows ....
"Gents ...I'd like to point out that we have a customer service telephone number on our website 01684 580757 the email address is dsc@morgan-motor.co.uk This was introduced several months ago (and has been used by our dealer network since last November) ... We aim to answer any queries through our DSC within 24hrs.
We do listen to our customers and are constantly monitoring our own systems to provide a better service, sometimes we're unable to react as quickly as we'd like and it would be naïve of us to think that our customer service is at the required level for the marque but we are moving in the right direction. Obviously the contact information has not filtered through to the group, please contact us through this channel with any issues or questions you may have (although your nearest dealer should always be the first point of contact).
Regards
Mark
I suspect his post was aimed at diffusing that particular thread I did exactly as he asked and sent an email to the address he gave on 23rd July. I haven't had a reply or even an acknowledgement.

Hello guys i hope your all doing well...i have put washers between the engine block & belt cover,so it gets some air circulation, but i have noticed after a hr drive, there is some oil on the lower of the belt cover. And after driving it for 2 hrs,the next day there are drips off oil on the ground.
I just removed the cover, there doesn't seem to be a seal leaking..just a bit of oil.. -Should i just keep the washer & after every drive just clean the excess oil? Or Install the cover back to factory spec's? Thanks

Ask Mark--he'll get right back to you!
Sorry. I'd let the air get in as I think heat is the issue for belt failure. I too have seen a slight leak and have placed an absorbent sponge fastened (glued in with 3M weatherstrip adhesive) in and look at it about once a month. From what I hear on this site most S&S engines weep a little from the front seal.

"Mark" you mean as in The Morgan Company?no one replies at all..i sent an email in December wanting to purchase a new pulley as i think i over tightened the belt once but no reply yet!!
So i have no problem thank god... Its not a bit of oil though...i will just keep it as is & wipe it off every hr or so... Just wondering though if the cover is tightened without the washers will the belt chamber fill up to the belt with oil?

Try a telephone call. More chance of getting satisfaction, although I don't think MMC will supply parts direct.

Probably not as if the cover and gasket are in place there will be no pressure differential between belt chamber and the block interior. The oil will not be motivated... It it's only a trace I would pay it no mind.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
