The factory have agreed to do the paint process I wanted although they did highlight an issue which I don't know if there is a good work-around. When the paint is all finished, the car goes to be checked for any paint blemishes etc and if any are found they are polished out to ensure a good overall finish. Of course a matt or silk finish cannot be polished so should there be any blemishes, I'm sort of stuck with them.
It would seem that the process will be to check for blemishes before the matt or silk clearcoat is applied and hopefully corrected if any. Any blemishes that appear during the clearcoat process I will have to live with unless anyone knows of a fix.
I will ask Carver how they go about it because the finish on the bodywork of mine was blemish free at outset.
