The other 2 do this but only show as 5v which I find puzzling, my mount must need 12v because it won't work off either of them. Can anyone with greater knowledge than me (which is probably everyone then) explain this...Thanks

I have the same problem but they show 10 volts, in the end I had to use the permantly live wire to power up my Zumo and remove it from the cradle when I park.
Not really what I wanted to do as I want to use the connector to keep the battery charged when not in use.

My optomate has a cigarette lighter attachment, you could use that to keep the battery charged over winter and keep the sat nav wired up, that's what I will probably end up doing.

I have an Optimate SP3 & a Battery Fighter, both came with a flying lead for direct battery connection & long enough to reach into the cabin.
