Sunday trip

A beautiful day for a 200 km ride. drive
The 'Åreskutan' mountain is a 1,420 metres (4,660 ft)-high mountain at Åre in Jämtland in central Sweden - no roads to the top though... only half way wink

Credit to swmbo who took the photo. Yes, a good day - swmbo met with a friend and I tried to teach my Zetec to behave after fitting a restrictor plate as the recommended cure for high revs hang. Wasn't totally successful but I won't give up...

My Blacktop 4/4 Zetec had horrible rev hanging. The complete cure, although not cheap, is to get rid of the restrictive manifold and cat. I have the Librands manifold, 200 cell Cat and exhaust, other options are available, and as well as a useful increase in power you have a much more responsive engine including being able to blip the throttle on changing down. Made such a difference that my stop gap car that I never anticipated keeping for more than two years has now been with me for the last eight years.

At what revs did your engine revs hang, prior to the mods and for how long?

Thanks for sharing Andrew thumbs
I will let the ECU get used to the restrictor plate and then I'm planning to fit a fuel pressure regulator to get a bit better throttle response...

Lovely scenery. Super pic. Very jealous. We have a few good roads in Cornwall -- sadly they currently full of sheds on wheels (ie caravans).

I lived there a few years ago and I agree with you about the scenery. Nice place to visit but the short summer season and the mosquitoes finally made me opt for a move to the 'low land'.
The nearest place to Cornwall I have been is the lovely village of Beer in Devon - a place I'd love to visit again. Perhaps I will make a 'Grand Mog Tour' in a couple of years and if so I will surely visit both Beer and Cornwall...
cozychair nice to dream about in the meantime...
