Why would you want that? Sorry Asbo but that is awful A 'real' Caterham at €60,000 (top of the tree) and a Carver for when you want a roof (€30,000 I'm guessing) and €30,000 in the bank is more like it Or a Lotus Exige Full Monty (€60,000??) Me? I'll have the Max any day, and by the way guys, its way more than the "Aero with a roof" you purport it be. Soul and style are immeasurable. BtG

And up to now I thought you were a gentleman of taste Asbo (well he did buy a flip Aero ), but this car (the IFR Aspic? pleeese) is a monstrosity It's difficult to improve on an original and imho this certainly does not.

The IFR is aiming for the same audience as the original ring record scrappers - http://www.donkervoort.info/Not sure why they have done it though - there are as has been said plenty of cars in that arena. Personally if you're after the ultimate in track focus it's got to be a radical - or if you want road capability too with a roof then an Ultima surely looks and goes and certainly sounds better. Its good to see lots of small companies having a go, it just makes Morgan's current range all the more attractive when you see what you're getting for the money. Have to agree with Boshly on the syle aspect of the Max - to me it's one of those cars like the Merc 300SL that in 50 years time will still be undeniably a style icon...

Aerofrog had one of these before his Aero 8 and was really pleased with it. Personally, I still prefer the purity of the original CC design; as developed and honed by Graham Nearn (and others now).

You've got me wrong guys.
At £120k the the aeromax is a bargain compared to what I can only describe as automotive hell.
We watched two lads get out the car and even with a life time of the wifes yoga lessons it wouldn't happen. I thought it was a kit car and got a terrible look when I asked them how long it would take junior to build one.
Then I looked at the name and thought its was a typo on the number plate and should have read septic rather than aspic (IMHO).

I bet it's real a hoot watching someone get in and out of the IFR, the doors do look tiny!

Interesting conversation with an American dealer in the states yesterday about the availability of the Aeromax. It seems some folks who had money down in advance might give up their slots for a variety of reasons. The dealer at least made it sound like America would see some cars.He was going to follow up with me with factory information and I will keep folks posted.
My guess is the American dealer network works a little differently than Europes, and Europe might see more cars.As mentioned on another post our dealer network here is quite diverse with a couple of dealerships doing the majority of new sales.I think the AeroMax has huge investment potential, most certaintly more predictable than the market, and that's why I inquired. What's the fun factor worth to a car guy...Priceless???

Carver for when you want a roof (€30,000 I'm guessing) and €30,000 in the bank is more like it Bad news I'm afraid, basic model starts at a shade under €40,000 and with a few extras soon gets up past €50,000. The UK price when I ordered my spec (2 yrs ago) was £32,000 and if you ordered it now it would have been £37,000. However at this time it is no longer available in the UK as the distributor went out of business. It may be possible to get one from one of the 3 UK service centres but no idea what the price would be.

On another DG, MorganWest have posted that they had 8 Aeromax's on order, but they have had 2 cancellations so far due to the show and display development. I believe that MMC have a waiting list of some 50 people for the Aeromax list and so any cars released will be quickly allocated to someone else in the queue.
