so not only 52 today; ran a 10k in 48 mins; got some pressies including a californian duster; and then took the aero out to woburn. Off to gourmet burger place tonight courtesy of my boys and wife.

It will then go downhill tmrw - work, travel, work, travel....8 more years of airport lounges will send me dullaley (word? spelling?)

Deolali was a British army camp 100 miles north-east of Bombay.
It is also the source of the British slang noun doolally tap, loosely meaning "camp fever", and referring to the apparent madness of men waiting for ships back to Britain after finishing their tour of duty. By the 1940s this had been widely shortened to just "dolally", an adjective meaning "mad" or "eccentric".

i now understand the rationale to the word; its also the feeling of displacement or mild depression or discombobulated...is that a place also.

Still waiting for boy No.1 who is out on the p*ss after footy - will I ever get my burger? will i drive more rain free miles this year? will i get far too much pleasure from my cal duster than can be easily explained to annette (wife)? Will my fitness stop when i have to do the half marathon up at aviemore and end up doing a greta waitz? will i change the series 1 to the series 4 during the present economic cycle? will i keep my job for 8 years? will i keep it for a week, if i don't deliver to my CEO on wednesday? will i ever be able to eat all the anti-oxidant happy foods which my doctor said i should? will i ever get a pair of reading glasses without losing my temper with the opticians for continuallly giving me the wrong frames? will i not lose my temper when another belgian pushes infront of me in the security queue at brussels airport? i could keep on...but i guess it would annoy all..and the only sure answer is that today the car was splendid....
