I would rather have another V8GT for a third of the price, and accept the inevitable rust.
Or buy one, buy the new bodyshell and "restore" everything mechanical into the new shell? Now that is a real project!

Already been there and done it Peter, but chose to repair the shell to keep it original, because it wasn't too bad and the panel fit (from 1974) was excellent. But once is quite enough, and some of the detail parts which I could source in 1990 are no longer 'as original' - particularly bumpers and screen trims. And as a fastidious observer, it puts me off. I really did try to get excited about RV8's before I went for Mr Bumble, but it just didn't work.

All things considered the MG B LE50 looks like excellent value for money.

Should help with the "NVH Refinement"!! Looking VERY nice... But why the gap from Jan 13 when the body shell was primed to October this year to finish? Do they make for stock?
