You do seem to have been very unlucky. We have an early 2012 Plus 4 and have really experienced very few warranty issues.When our car was delivered there was a problem with the rear springs sagging and they were replaced. This was an issue with a new supplier that was not supplying springs to the correct specification. By chance our car also may have been fitted with front springs from a different model. In any case all springs were replaced under warranty.
Other than that there were a couple of other small issues but nothing really important.
The steering was stiff for the first 1000 km but then it was fine. The story of binding plastic lugs is something quite new.
The issue of paint and splitting around the headlight has been reported by others, particularly in Australia, and relates to the way the headlight nacelle was welded to the the mudguard. I understand this has now been altered in production and is completely welded instead of partially welded.
The other issues you mention are, if taken individually, annoying but quite easily fixed. It is just when you consider them all together it becomes more of an issue.
I am sure you will get them resolved and continue to enjoy the car for many trouble free kilometres.

Unfortunately you are not alone. 2013 Plus 4 4 Seater off the road for 13 weeks over the last two summers due to quality issues. Similar experience regarding lack of factory response.

Hello from Spain, I have had my first Morgan, a new plus4,just a year now and am wondering if anyone out there has noticed a drop in quality control or customer service from Morgan recently. The car was delivered with an enormous number of faults, the steering was incredibly stiff with a loud screech every time the wheel was turned, this was due to plastic lugs binding on the steering column and had to be ground off. The fan rattled alarmingly when it cut in, this was due to it not being screwed in correctly,the engine, usually at the end of a run, when put into neutral,would suddenly rev up to 6000 rpm on it's own and could only be corrected by switching off the engine and restarting, this turned out to be, eventually, a split vacuum pipe. The right hand indicator would not cancel. On doing my first grease up, one of the 45 degree nipples came apart having stripped the thread. The paintwork lifted around the LH headlamp and split as well as on the top rear brake light holder and now driving back through France last week the speedometer packed up, it blows the 5amp dash fuse and the over revving which I thought had been cured has come back. I have e-mailed Morgans several times as did the garage I put the car into whilst I was in England (for a service) but trying to get a reply from them is like trying to get blood out of a stone. For €62,000 I could have bought 3 Mazda MX5's. Has anyone else out there experienced similar problems or are these things normal with a 'hand' built car. Join the club ! It does give a lovely overall feeling of being 'done over' by a company that doesn't care.

I dont think its a case of not caring but an overload of work caused by several major issues mainly due to the M3W. Its a small company with limited resourses, which at time gets stretched and seems slow to respond.
A letter to the MD will I am sure receive a positive response and a satisfactory outcome.

I have to say that my experience with two new Plus 4's has been very positive with no problems worth mentioning however, that doesn't forgive what others have experienced.
The company are very, very lucky that Morgan owners are generally more experienced car owners and are able to sort little problems whilst still loving the cars.
There is no real excuse for some of the faults that TM'ers list on this site after all Morgans have been building the same cars for "quite a while".
I think that a previous thread is very relevant, that is "are Morgans too cheap"? Another few hundred pounds spent on a full PDI before the release of the car from the factory may find most of these faults so that the customer can experience the full joy of his new car.
Perhaps they should slow down a bit after all one of the first questions asked is " is there still a waiting list"?. This could be used as a form of inverted snobbery in as much as the cars are properly hand built therefore I had to wait a while!

Neil Tried it via e-mail & letter - no response ! Another forum member was able to get a response for me from the factory - its a very strange way to run a business.

Many thanks once again for those of you who have offered advise on contacting the factory.
I have now at least (I hope) fixed one of the problems the non working speedo, it was the 5amp fuse to the dash panel that was blowing and I have managed to trace it to the power line for the drivers seat belt light. I'm not sure how it was supposed to be stowed but it is quite long and was trapped in the seat rail under the drivers seat.Fixed out of harms way with gaffer tape.I'm no mechanic but I guess there is something to say for 44 years an RAF radio fitter and TV eng.

Drivers seat belt light????
No such thing on my 2009 Roadster.
The wires comming out of the clip are neatly cut off..

Yep - had the same issue on my 4/4. Diagnosed by the excellent Keith at BHM. Wiring for seat belt 'nanny light' gets trapped in seat runner as you adjust it. Hit a big bump and the wire strips its plastic coating and shorts out on the metal seat runner. This wiring shares a common fuse with the dash instruments.
If MMC added a couple of pence worth of cable ties it wouldn't have happened...
