Every 1000 miles for me. Sometimes an extra shot in winter driving. Nick

Looking through the Devol website it makes me wonder why the factory didn't stick with Devolin bushes and hard chrome pins. As some grades of Devolin are effectively self lubricating it could also be that the 1000 mile greasing would be less critical....

Mine typically last 25 k miles. New car has Devol so I am hoping to get the same. But I grease at 1000 miles on bronze & if an oiler was fitted oil at 500.
The Devol I am not so sure so for now I over grease as the handbook states 10k

Don't use the oiler - it washes the grease out (slowly)... Grease mine around the 500 - 800 mile mark (except when on holiday). Going to need KPs/bushes in next 12 months.

Every 500-600 miles. When the time comes to replace, I will change to hard chrome king pins.

Every 600 to 1000 miles. I have a pneumatic greasegun so job is easy. When doing the lower nipples I lever up the baseplate/damper blade plate and grease until I see it coming out there. That way I know enough is in and the plate is lubricated - a tip given by Phil at Allon Whites to me when picking up my first Mog. Rear springs also sprayed with chain lube at same interval. Also propshaft.

Note to self: must get some more chain lube for the rear springs before the next trip.

An alternate to chain lube is spray copper grease for the leaf springs

Hi Geir, my original kingpins and bronze bushes were finished at 14000 miles (when I bought the car). I could see that the one-shot-oiler had been used. I have change them for hard chrome king pins and Vesconite Hi-Lube bushes including seals at the bottom end (you'll have to push the bushing in about 2,5 mm to accommodate for the seal). I think the seals are the best to protect both bushings and kingpins from dirt and grit getting in between the moving parts. Otherwise many recommend some form of gaiter around the 'open end' which I think is good too.
Lycka till!
