Thomas, we in UK love Sweden too, especially your crime series on TV (though they are all subtitled of course). At least most of us now know how to say yes, no, thankyou and "murder" in Swedish.
What baffles me about Sweden is why ordinary citizens are permitted to own guns!
PS I also drive a Swedish car (Volvo), and have owned several (Saabs and Volvos)
Nigel 4/4 Zetec with the same "problem"

Nigel: I didn't know you had Swedish TV shows in UK - hope they choose the good ones, there are a few actually. Glad you like them I think subtitles are a good thing compared to the dubbing habit in other countries - It is really strange to hear your favourite actor with someone else's voice About the firearms; there's a lot of regulations and you have to have a hunting license and/or be an active member of an authorised rifle-club or some similar organisation to own a gun or a rifle. And then not many ordinary citizens own a rifle or a gun anyhow. (Nice to hear that you like the Swedish cars - SAAB is my favourite...) Jay and Roger: The Bridge is definitely one of the best You must also learn to say: Ja, tack! (yes, please!) if Sofia ask you something P.S. I forgot to say that I think you drive so much better in the UK - here it's all a bit slow, it makes me a bit nervous - but, that's me...

Yes, there is a trend for Swedish crime series, such as Wallander, The Bridge, The Killing, and most recently Crimes of Passion. All are subtitled.
Sweden is clearly a very dangerous place.

Can't be as dangerous as Midsommer Norton though...

Obviously quite dangerous... I tend to agree with Graham though One of my (Swedish) favourites is called 'Beck'.
