Right: I've listened to the arguments and am now geting very bored, so having done everything I need to do reduce any potential personal risk if the vote is "Yes". . .I'm off to the pub. ps I do hope there is a "NO" vote and the Union will survive. However, sadly, whatever the outcome approximately half of Scottish voters will be unhappy.

I moved up to Scotland when I graduated from Uni and lived and worked up there for over 15 years. I got married and bought my first house up there too...happy memories. I had the feeling that generally, I had a far better quality of life living up there than in England, so all this talk of Scotland being hard done to by the Westminster government is no more that pure propaganda drip fed by the Scottish media over decades. I always had the view that Alex and his cronies were bound to build a loyal following over time, because it's so easy to criticise the ones that are having to make all the decisions. Alex has done a fantastic job for the SNP over the last 25 years. Most of it on the back of the fated decision that Madge made to make Scotland the guineapig for Poll Tax...fuel that's kept the SNP going all these years. I hope that the voters in Scotland see through the smoke and mirrors and see that despite being led by Westminster, they still enjoy a great life up there. They still have their own identity. One that they can be proud of while still being part of the UK. I think the bottom line is that we have too many politicians spouting hot air and plumping up their own egos....That's what we should be focusing on in my humble opinion. ...sorry...for the rant but I truly believe we are better together.

What I finding so exasperating in this whole fiasco is that, say, an Asian student of 16 living in Scotland can vote to split my country apart when I do not have a vote. Lets us remember that Scotland asked to join in 1707 because of a financial debacle in Panama. I think Samond and his clique are destestable and I feel so sorry for people who vote no but, if yes is the outcome, who have to deal with the consequences.

Up till now it's all been about pure rhetoric. If they do win tomorrow the easy bit will be over as they then have to deliver - something they haven't had to do up till now.
The lid has been truly blown off the Jock in a Box now. I think this whole escapade has got us all talking about something that the vast majority had previously not thought was a problem. Now we all have quite divisive opinions on the situation.
