In my fruitless search to find stainless steel exhaust clamps for my 4/4 sport - nobody in the Morgan fraternity had any of the size I needed.
In despair I googled Stainless steel exhaust U bolts and came up with U-bolts-R-us - run by Graphskill - and found all sizes of stainless U bolt exhaust clamps - ordered three of them at 4pm yesterday and they were on my doormat at 10am this morning.
The items are made in Cumbria by the company and cost £28.45 for the three including VAT and first class post.
So for those of you out there who want to replace those horrible mild steel originals - you now know where to go (Cleator Moor for those in FellMog).
A great service by a British company and keeping our manufacturing skills alive in what is a fairly high unemployment area of England - they deserve our custom.

Well done Phil because last time I searched I could only find an odd seller in the USA.

Glad I could find this thread again.
Usual story, always make sure you have replacement U-bolts to hand when renewing exhaust bobbins... doh
So, some nice stainless ones are now on order...
Time to hoover the rusty bits off the garage floor and park the 4/4 up for a few days. All that sunny forecast too banghead
Suppose I'll have to mow the lawn instead shocked2

I've been driving LRs for 40 years Richard - I always have cable ties to hand!
Anyway, as the mounting brackets clamped to the exhaust, plus bolted to the chassis appear to be stainless (no rust) it's time for the other hardware to be of similar material smile

I dislike U bolt clamps, I find them ugly and they don't work very well. I use heavy duty T bolt clamps like these , cheap and easily obtainable.

Hmmm, not much use when the U-bolt clamps are part of the exhaust pipe mounting Tim.
Aesthetically they may be more pleasing if all one is doing is making sure no gas leaks between pipe sections.
