Clean it or drive it.

Both drive

Must admit to taking a slight pleasure from arriving at Roscoff with a filhy dirty car after our holiday in France. It certainly looked as though it had done a few miles.

I give mine a good wash and a Turtle wax before the M.O.T.; I usually find that's sufficient for the year.

Drive it and wash it regularly mostly underneath but I leave the polishing to Dave he does enough for us all and knows what he's doing read

Clean it by all means, but when keeping it clean gets in the way of using it, you're doing it wrong in my view.

Well at least whilst Dave may polish his Morgans to perfection, he does drive them as they should be.

Went for a drive last night and tonight after giving the Mog a good clean and wax yesterday afternoon and it looks super shiny under the street lights.

So I guess my contribution is to clean during the day then drive out in evening

I love driving the Mog when it's dark - hood down, gloves on, open road, music on full blast

My technique for my s/s wires is never to brush them. I use a bottle of Muc-off (mountain bike cleaner), and just spray it on then hose off. Brake dust etc just floats off, clean again! OK it probably wouldn't pass a concours judge...

I'm a drive and clean as we go, not literally. So as dead bodies appear on the front they are wiped off before putting the car into the garage, and bottom is cleaned when necessary. Polishing is done when I want to be quiet with my own thoughts. grin2

This is pretty much what I do although I also use one of the quick wax sprays after wiping clean.

It's due I think....

My old car after a furious early January trip, Devon, London, Cambridge, Kings Hill, Hatfield, London, Devon - all topless apart from London village where it pi88ed down, luckily underground parking at £5 at the Union Jack Club with an ex Ghurka taking care of it overnight.

Light pressure wash underneath and seams followed by the magic aerosol, job done.
