No, I rode my Harley to the Morgan Dealer today to pick up the last two bobbins he had. Was there Tuesday with the M3W to pick up replacement valve cover knicked by S&S (see 'D Day and Agatha Christie') Anyway, met Ed, (Edvb1 of the Eco Exo R build) who was there with SWMBO closely looking at the M3W in stock. He's been bit, but as yet to commit. Nice guy.
Had a great run to view the Kelpies & Falkirk Wheel both of which are worth going to. Around 280 miles from Aberdeenshire vie Cairn o Mount Road, Couper Angus & Perth to Falkirk. My first run on a motorway in an M3W, not its natural environment. Weather was dry & warm until about 20 mins away from dropping off my copilot when it was dark & started raining. Copilot fell asleep on return journey
Just drove it,after close to 5 monthes parked..forgot how great the gears are..1st & 2nd are long compaired to the corvette c7 when driving the vette slow..the mog throttle feels light but clutch heavy compaired to the vette..just waiting on cooler nights to use it more

Yes it was great talking to you yesterday. I was a little pressed for time as I promised my wife to be somewhere so I did not have time for the test ride. I will soon though!
I wanted to finish the latest mods on my Eco Exo R so here is one of them. With some black Alcantara pads with red stitching kind of like the style below should bring it up a notch. I also have a new steering wheel that was just sent from the UK to finish it off.
Technically not today but... Last Sunday drove from Aberdeen across the Cairngorms, through Inverness and on up to Scourie in the far North West. Spent Monday wandering around Sutherland up to Durness and Smoo Cave plus Chocolate Mountain for some serious supplies and a swim in the Atlantic at Polin Beach near Kinlochbervie followed by a second night in the very good Eddrachilles Hotel with more good food, chat and malt whisky. Tuesday was a wander down the coast road through Lochinver and Ullapool to Poolewe before spending Wednesday driving through Torridon, round Applecross, over the Bealach na Baa to Lochcarron, on through Glen Garry to Fort William and then to Kinlochleven for a night in the Macdonald Hotel (more food and malt of course) which led to a session on the indoor ice climbing wall at the Ice Factor which was a bit of a shock to the system after not climbing since '88! At least the instructor was surprised that I managed all the routes he pointed me at including the trendy "dry tooling" one - one up for the old farts! Thursday was a run through Glencoe to Crianlarich, Lochearnhead and in via Revolutions in Perth to pick up my M3W red cross parcel from Donald (thanks!) More food and drink on Thursday night before home to Aberdeen on Friday. Weather was mainly the usual blue skies and sunshine you would expect in September in NW Scotland though a couple of times there was a bit of a strange phenomenon where what can only really be described as drops of water seemed to simply fall out of the sky. Very odd, quite refreshing really and did tend to keep the road dust down. Locals seemed to be a bit surprised by this water from the sky thing too, probably just the silver lining leaking out of the clouds. Photos will appear shortly in the gallery pages - the light was superb much of the time. Car just worked.
It may take a bit to get a M3W but for a single seater this will do for the time being. It take time and patience to build things you cannot buy off the shelf. I think a Italian glove leather interior would be most fitting for the M3W as I have not seen one yet. I was able to see some interiors in some Ferrari's and Lambo's that used black Alcantara with carbon seats and was smitten. $130 US per yard is pricey but thought it would finish it off nicely.
Has anyone put a custom leather interior in their M3W ?
Finally, an opportunity to go for a drive with another M3W ... and of course, a cold one after. Note The Delightful Ms. Timmins' version of a 'Comfort Kit' in my M3W ...
Yesterday I went up to Caramulo to finally get my M3W with the welded exhaust and bring it home (Lisbon). It was a nice journey, no rain, after just a couple of weeks one almost forgets how fun this car is to drive.
There's no story to the journey itself, I had about 350 kms of fun. But the end was even funnier, when I got into my garage, at night, the grunt of the Brooklands exhaust sound fired up the alarms of almost all my neighbours' tintops parked there.
