Long story short I picked the car up on Friday, took it back on Saturday with a wiring issue which was fixed up nicely by RTCC by Tuesday who dropped the car back to me at the house. I also had a "nice" Fiat Punto to cover me but I finally managed to get a few 100 miles on it yesterday running around for work (the wonder of being self employed).

My rules for roof off are "Is it dry?" so most of yesterday was with the roof down as it was quite mild so what did I think? I had a big smile all yesterday and I'm starting to see quirks which give the car its personality.

For example if I use the window washers a little bit of spray comes over and gets you wet. You have to hold a petrol pump at 90 degrees otherwise it keeps cutting out. Carpets are held down by screwed, a very British way of fixing, though I'm sure my wife wouldn't approve if I used the in the lounge. However that's fine its part of the experience.

The quick release handbrake I'm still not quite sure of yet as I've been using a normal handbrake for the last 10 years or so but I'm getting there. Hill starts still feel me with trepidation.

The car is on 56 plate with only 2500 on the clock and I seems to of really benefited from some faster motorway runs as it is feeling looser and more revvy. Also the engine note...thats nice...I think a tunnel run might be in order just to get the best out of that exhaust.

So overall its a bit noisy at times so the little one won't be able to sleep in her seat (baby seats do go in the back quite nicely), the side panels rattle and the roof needs a certain nack to put up and down but I think I do love my new baby smile

Rus,
good to hear. The more they are used the better they get & the wider you grin.

The handbrake I now love & would miss it if I had to go back to the "normal type".

Now you should join Thames Valley Mog to meet similar minded folks.

Gunmetal with berry / red is one of my favourite combinations on classic Morgans; beautiful car you have there. thumbs

And think about the great memories you'll be giving your daughter when she is a little older. I have no doubt she'll look back with fondness at the times she spent with you in your Morgan - these cars really are made to make memorable moments.

Congratulations again - great purchase. wine
