I hear from almost every car owner that remapping the electronic control (adding a chip ?) can easily increase the HP of your motor
I own a Morgan Plus 4 2013
Apparently the HP of the Duratec 2l Ford engine increased from 145 to 160 HP simply by using another ECU electronic mapping
But they told me that this is simply not possible with the Duratec used in the Plus 4 made in 2013
Any suggestions that can enlighten my surgeon brain

Hi Mark

You could also try The Morgan dealer 'Williams' also on the internet, but thats in the UK. They have had some good results on a number of modern Morgan ECU's.

Heard some excellent results from this company http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/

Main advantage is it's a plug and play solution and simple to do yourself without specialist support. Not done it myself as my car was remapped by the previous owner (it's a 2008 2.0 Duratec +4) but those I have spoken with report significant improvements. Worth contacting them.

I had my 2013 plus 4 re-chipped at Williams Morgan near Chipping Sodbury. I am pleased with the result as the engine (2l Duratec) feels more lively and I would recommend this modification. No idea what the increase in power is though.

Northants Motorsport , have been there many times to re map various sports cars and by using a different ECU they can get more power and lower fuel consumption . Troy is the chap in charge there. Spoke to some Morgan owners on sunday at the pistons and props event and they have used northants motorsport many times .Worth talking to.

Troy and Northampton Motorsport is certainly someone I can advocate... the top motorsport teams use him so his credentials don't come higher. He also does all the work for Ferrari specialists GTO Engineering.

He's a top OMEX dealer in the UK as well as having experience with just about every other ECU going.

It's also great to see what other wonders he has around the workshop or on the rollers....

Original Porsche 917, GT40 or original 57 Testa Rossa or Cooper King Cobra..... hhhmmmmmmm

Nothing wrong with a nice trip to the UK using the Chunnel
Any idea how much time it will take at Williams to enhance the ECU chip (Duratec 2L Morgan Plus 4 2013)? 1 day or 1h?
Probably better to look for a nice hotel and restaurant in the neighbourhood.
I will have a look in the Michelin guide
I don't feel easy about doing this myself.

By the way I love the plus 4
I changed already the exhaust and air inlet but I think that a Duratec 2l can perform better.

Thanks for the extra quick response.
