I found some oil stains on the ground last week, nothing to worry about but they appear to come from the differential.
Here are some pics, as you can (hardly) see there's a green drip hanging at the back of the diff. In the last pic you'll see the stains on the floor.



Does this look familiar? Any advice?
(The next maintenance is sheduled for april 2009)

Have a good look at the differential prop shaft oil seal. Mine dripped green oil in the same place as yours, but it was coming from the pinion oil seal. The seal cost £11.67 + vat.

From the photo, it looks like the seal (brighter blue in the photos) is missing just above where the drip is.

Is that just the photo and does anyone know if they compliment the rear diff seal with a liquid binder/seal?

Look like seal gone.Take the cover off and reseal it,not much work.Add some oil for the time being.

Will take the car to a friend/mechanic next week, get a closer look. Sounds like a straight forward job.

Just came back from a morning blast and noticed my wipers need replacing. Should I just order them through the dealer or are there alternatives?
