There is what appears to be a +4 near my workplace in Newcastle. I've got to admit, it doesn't look as elegent.

Ok, I give up. This listing on ebay has one long and one short door? Sounds like a rebuild gone wrong?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-8-cu...=US_Cars_Trucks

The 1992 +8 would have come with a short door so a later alteration but why not do both sides. Hood, tonneau, sidescreens, hood frame would all be odd. Have to factor altering the passenger side plus the other changes into the price. The long door is a big advantage for the long legged. On the looks, short door - narrow chassis, long door - wide and 4 seaters. But I am biased as that is what I have and had in the past.

The narrative suggests that it was delivered that way from new. Not something I've ever heard of though. Odd doors were common pre WW2 - look at Bentleys for example, and some cars didn't have a door at all on one side - echoes of the latest Roadster.

I am pretty sure it would have been made In The factory that way by special order
I like it - it's a bit different and if the hood and tonneau are made to the body then great
Agree with John - obviously the first owner liked his burgers

A door only on one side. Ok, but this is just too odd. I wouldn't buy it knowing it would really be hard to sell should I have to later on. The side curtains, top and tonneau would all be askew. Just too weird for me, but there are those . . .
I really am interested in what sort of money this brings. My guess is it will go cheap.
Cheers,
Mark
