Do others find that roof down motoring at this time of year causes the gauges to mist up? Strange but just my fuel and oil gauge does it, the temp and volts stay clear?
Anything as a fix, apart from roof up!

Mine also and it takes a reasonable run with the side lights and thus I hope gauge lights on to clear them, I also would like to know why and a solution if one exists

I remember posting the very same problem in 2008 when I bought my first Morgan and at least a dozen owners posted back news that this was a standard feature, "they all do that Sir".
Some interesting and ingenious ideas have been suggested as a cure, such as hair driers and vacuum suction, but nothing fixed mine other than warmer weather.

I have read here that drilling small holes in each of the units helps to get rid of the condensation. I have not done it myself yet.

Yes I'm suffering from same issue on the fuel/oil/temp gauge and speedo.
Usually clear when I set off but mists up as I drive along, starts clearing after a long while, but just as bad next time.
Was looking at old threads on this subject this afternoon and the best solution appears to be to move to California.
It drives me nuts and it seems to have been a Morgan 'feature' for a long time.
I'd love to hear a solution.

On the Roadetsr, my big ones rarely mist but the small ones do, and quite badly. No drilling of holes as yet.
On Mr Bumble, there has been no misting, even when in Scotland.

Mine has little holes drilled for that reason many years ago, with no effect, beside the amp dial now never goes to zero! Only the fuel meter stays clear, all the others become cloudy. I am trained to park the Morgan with the meters turned to the sun (If there is sun), then they stay clear most of the day. It isn't just on humid day, it is: always! Indeed, I think: they always do that, sir!!

Spotted the same on mine a couple of weeks ago for the first time when I set off early on a cold bright morning. There was plenty of early morning mist around so I put it down to Moisture in the atmosphere. It had gone after about three quarters of hour of driving

It wasn't every dial, from memory it was 3 of 4 small ones with a small haze on the speedo.

Maybe house the rear of the instruments in a form of insulation the metal bodies will attract the damp, you could even consider running 12v trace heating around the instruments.

If the instruments are hermetically sealed no moisture will enter.

It won't stop condensation on the outside but they would be dry internally if opened up dried in a low temp oven then sealed.

It should not be that difficult to achieve how many modern motorbike instruments steam up?
