It's a pleasure - my late father worked at Royce's during the war, mostly machining the supercharger drive gears on Merlins, so I suspect that's where I've got my love of warbirds from.

My late Father was a Spit pilot VB & IV's - he maybe flew one your Father had "supercharged"...
The sound of any Merlin sends a shiver down my spine, as a totally involuntary action.
To hear the eight of them at Goodwood Revival this year with the two Lanc flypast was an impressive power sound and sight I'll never forget.
