Back on fuel, after cranking the engine over, are your spark plugs wet with fuel? Wet will suggest no spark; dry will suggest no fuel getting through.
You've probably tried this already but have you tried removing all plugs, then spinning the engine over on the starter whilst holding one plug connected to an ignition lead to the block? You should see the spark plug spark.
