As quite a few of them do it, that should be greengrocers' apostrophe.

But not all of them.

A right angled drill possibly Paul but the holes need to be close to the screen, so you may struggle to get a 90 degree hole, which it should be to hold the fasteners properly.

Hehe, well, nothing to do with the apostrophe, but the use of such as "Personally, I" in such fashion is tautology.
Sadly, there is an awful lot about, particularly from those in Westminster and the media...

Unfortunately I can make no comment regarding Latin, but the oft repeated spelling of peddle when the noun is pedal (e.g. brake pedal - and I mean brake pedal, not break pedal, unless of course it is a pedal that has been broken...).
OK, time to getcoat 'cos my English usage has deteriorated over the years... grin2

[quote=PaulJ]"the screen frame has to be taken off to fit the fasteners to the car."

or can a right angled drill attachment be used? .On the older cars its only 4 bolts and lift off [carefully].

Graham, in this instance "Personally" emphasises rather than duplicates the "I" so there is no tautology.

I can well understand your irritation when "peddle" is used instead of "pedal". My own bête noire is when "loosing" is used instead of "losing".

The one that infuriates me is the use of "myself" instead of "me"

IMPORTANT STATEMENT

For all those hoping to read about the practicality of tonneau covers on this thread, we apologise for the interruption caused by Latin, grammar and language corrections, this is due to the fact that a high degree of contributors to this thread are Morgan owners.

And we love it

Aw shucks how annoying for you but at least you now have the acknowledgement you deserve! You'll also now know the word to use is "pedantic" and not "picky" :
