Hey all! I know its been a long time. Hope everyones keeping well. I have to put together a few little known facts about the Aero 8 within about 24 hours! It's going to be on static display at the top gear live show in dublin and i need to supply it with an a4 sheet so need to come up with something a bit more fun and interesting to read! Anyone got any little interesting trivia. Facts, figures, stories. How many have been built? How many of each series? When the first one was delivered? Anything you think might be relevant? Thanks!

Off the top of my head, can't think of anything, but I've got Chris lawrences book and the Aero 8 at le mans book so I'll have a dig for you tonight and see if I can find anything.
-------------- Maxxed out!

Of course! I could never get rid of my Orange Earthquake Excellent. Actually thinking of a few questions as i go along. Like wasn't there an interesting fact that the engine is the first one Bmw allowed another manufacturer to put their logo on? Also whats the approx figure of aeros made per year. Just looking to get an idea of numbers!

AFAIK you are correct that Morgan are the first company to be allowed to put their logo on the engine itself. In terms of Aero 8s built, iirc MMC are up to approximately 680's as of August this year. Break that down over 8 years and the production is sub 100 a year. This thread will help illustrate the changes from S1 to S2, etc Again, iirc, the 500-numbers were pulled from the Aero run to be used for the AeroMax, so true Aero 8s are still in the 500s for world production number.
