One of the most well-written articles I've read about the Morgan 3 Wheeler driving experience... Link to article

This guy is telling exactly which rewards you get when driving a toy like the M3W. Well done !

I turned the key, waiting until the carburated S&S V-twin motorcycle engine sputted into live... By only turning the key he would be still waiting... I remember a small push-button!

I turned the key, waiting until the carburated S&S V-twin motorcycle engine sputted into live... By only turning the key he would be still waiting... I remember a small push-button! The article is all rather "American"... I've driven a M3W and whilst he clearly "gets it" it seems that the reviewer lost his note book before writing and much is quite "imaginative". "Low torque engine"?? Really? In the end I started to wonder if he had done more than sat in it whilst his friend drove it.

Thanks for posting
The telling point he makes which applies to all Morgans is when he says " the point to driving this machine - you are never bored"

I was confused by the starting the engine bit and the "low torque" comment
I don't think you could physically get a higher torque engine in that car without the car falling to bits ......

It seems that S&S fitted carbs to the early versions for the U.S. market! a good read, a little over enthusiastic for my liking, more like an advertorial than a good journalistic piece, but then look what's happened to Top Gear in the last decade, it used to be a serious consumer orientated car program.

Quote:- "A Breakneck Pace of 45MPH"
He obviously did not get out of third gear.
This must have been to only M3W with a narrow motorcycle wheel in the rear.
I know it is easy to be critical and the artical is quite well written albeit very imaginative. He obviously did not study the car too closely.

Over all it's a positive piece on the M3W and if I remember my first time driving one I was so overcome with excitement I wouldn't have noticed much of the details either.
