Anti-tramp bar modification

Hi, I got my car back. sunny Maybe you followed the discussion at eMog.

My dealer made a modification. It looks a bit "home made" but I have a good feeling about it.

my 2 bob's worth:
reading all this is most interesting.
To me the Morgans suspension at the rear is very basic, the type that has been used for at least 90 years in the history of the motor car.
My brother used to race escorts in the UK many years ago and to my recollections all the cars had anti tramp bars fitted and to both sides!
I have never heard of only fitting to one side? Maybe I have missed something in this discussion?
Suspension geometry is a finely tuned science and is best left to the engineers in our midst.
In my personal experiences the average garage or main dealer outlets all seem to be lacking in the finesse of design and repairs to the average motor vehicle.
Ivo took the car to his dealer for the repair and has to trust his recommendations, he can do no-more than that. If it does break in the future, at least it will be covered by warranty!
Just a thought: does the car really need the anti tramp bar anyway for normal driving? shades
