Aston Martin Mendip Blue could be a good colour choice.
And making sure your passenger is warm is essential to happy roof down motoring.

Regrettably, my car purchasing has not been particularly intelligent. I'm very easily seduced by the tricks that my imagination, manipulated by the marketing people, plays in my decision taking.
I remember walking around the Aston showroom under the perfect lighting, looking at the gleaming bodywork. I could see myself looking suave as I crunched over the gravel of an expensive country hotel or cruising through the Côte d'Azur to Italy with polite but condescending acknowledgement of the locals drooling over the shapely evidence of my success. This car would give me my dreams. This car would make me handsome, sophisticated and successful.
The reality is different. The car is beautiful but, I'm still a bit ugly. I tend not to look suave but rather bewildered and exhausted. I don't tour the glamorous regions of Europe, I crash through the potholes of West Sussex at four in the morning on the way to the airport. In fourteen months of ownership, my wife and I have only been away in it once. To visit the factory where it was built! With two careers and three teenagers at home, we simply don't have time to go anywhere.
What's missing is not the right car to make the dream come true, but rather, the time to give the dreams a chance. It's not the objects that count, it's the experiences you have with the objects.
When I'm on my deathbed, the success of my life will not be measured by the total value of all the cars I have owned. The percentage of my life spent with a smile on my face will be a far better measure.
I need less glamour and more fun. That should be a simple equation. You just bought the Mog. Done. All over. Morgan is not the "you HAVE to look at me" as you outline in the Aston showroom. No miracle cure for being normal. I love it because people look at the car, love it and I get the gravy from this ! If I have a bad day coming up I always take the Mog. Nothing wrong with the exemplary MB but it cannot make that 4am blast to the airport something I go to bed looking forward to (a little at least). Has SWMBO seen and been in one, get her to drive it around and wait for the attention it will get. My good lady life loved it even before the test drive and paid 25% of the purchase price. You might be surprised. It was the first car we both totally agreed on. I do like the phrase "shriveller" it does seem to describe it rather well. Had a few of those over the years but thank the lord she has the patience of a saint.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I think I would agree with everything that has been said above.
I am a Maserati fan and was thinking of buying a Quattroporte (my first was a '67 model) and I am now considering a Ghibli.
I bought a bespoke Plus 4 because I wanted a classic design with modern mechanicals. I ordered to my own spec and for me aircon was important for our hot and humid summers. I actually started out to buy a Roadster but the 3 litre was out of production and I thought the 3.7 that would eventually be available was more powerful than I wanted in a trad chassis.
I am very pleased with my choice but miss the low rpm grunt of a bigger engine. I am seriously considering replacing the engine with a tuned 2.5 L Duratec which would give good midrange torque.
I understand that Williams have built at least two, a 220hp and a 280hp.

He goes past, it flips to slow mo as she sees him. (light offensive humour and sexual sterotype mode on..) Reality. His thought. "She is looking at car and me, Yes, excellent. I am wonderman." Her thought. "hmmm my diamond necklace cost more than that, but the sparkly roof is nice and I do like the colours, they go with my dress and shoes. Why dont they fit them with young men, is it not an option even at that price. Should I buy smoe more shoes ?"

The beautiful woman thought the Roller was coming to pick her up whereas the next shot which isn't shown is the 17 year old Toyota Corrolla taxi with 350,000 miles on the clock with a whinning diff.

My 4/4 has put the icing on the cake of my retirement. Nothing else would get me out of bed first thing in the morning to go for a spin down Devon's lanes or plan ahead for a scenic route through Switzerland to Chioggia, Italy. Not that the destination is that important, when the journey itself is key. My old Draper grease gun would get me pretty messy so I just invested in a Wanner grease gun off Ebay at £12.50...Half the size and without the leaky bits. Disposable gloves become part of the tool kit on tour. Your better half will surely enjoy the wind in her hair.

Those modern front opening, rear hinged doors are so clever. After 30 years of MGTD ownership, I still go to open the Plus 4 doors from the front sometimes................

I thought front opening doors were banned on modern cars.

I thought front opening doors were banned on modern cars. No, they just have to have an interlock so they cannot be opened when the car is moving. With modern technology that is easy.
