Looks like garden hose quality fittings, no wonder they fail so soon.

When I had my BMW318i I had the plastic header tank split from top to bottom, later the plastic outlet from the water pump split. .All cheap naff stuff. Not what you expect when you buy a quality car. ooo gloomy

Graham I have on the shelf a 1972 mexico one, to the eye it looks OK. Could be different material to modern ones.

The clutch master cylinder piston on my old Dodge W200 4x4 was plastic with a rubber seal, but the actual cylinder was metal... Can't remember the fluid reservoir now.

I have not looked at the radiator in detail on my Roadster but presume it is the same. I think if mine goes I will take the radiator out and pop down to my local radiator repairer he took my Plus8 rad apart and put a new core in, better than original for 40% the cost of a Mulfab one. So I am sure he should be able to replace the plastic fitting by braising on a a suitable brass one on instead and hopefully would never fail again. I suspect if not hard to do no more than £50-100.

Why not see what your local radiator repairer could do. :santawave:

Just checked my radiator. It's fine but the electric fan shroud mounts have sheared at the top on both sides! The whole thing is just flopping about.... mad2

Must be all that unusable power drive you'd be better off with a narrow bodied + 4 rofl
